Match #3: CM Punk vs Chris Jericho
Match #4: R-Truth vs Dolph Ziggler
Match #5: Jeff Hardy vs Edge
Edge comes to the ring and he talks about what happened at Judgment Day and that he is the face of Smackdown. Edge says he is the premiere superstar and Jeff Hardy is not in his league. Smackdown GM Teddy Long then comes down and tells Edge that because of Matt Hardy's interference, Jeff Hardy gets a rematch at Extreme Rules. Edge complains that everyone keeps making excuses for Jeff and he's sick of it and Hardy got beat by him and not because of Matt and that Jeff is not World Champion materiel and a failure. This naturally brings out Hardy. Hardy tells Edge that he is a competitor and that Extreme Rules every match is Extreme and they should wrestle tonight and whoever wins gets to pick the match they have. Edge complains to Teddy Long that Hardy can't make his own matches, Jeff then wanders through the crowd asking if they want to see the match tonight. Teddy Long decides that the match will happen.
Match #1: John Morrson & Cryme Tyme, vs Shelton Benjamin, Charlie Haas & Ricky Ortiz. Morrison pins Haas.
Josh Matthews interviews Melina.
Match #2: for the #1 Contender to the Women's Championship: Gail Kim vs Michelle McCool w/Alicia Fox. Michelle pins Gail.
Jim Ross interviews Rey Mysterio.
Match #3: CM Punk vs Chris Jericho. Punk wins via DQ when Umaga attacks Punk. Umaga, who can suddenly speak English, challenges Punk to a Samoan Strap Match at Extreme Rules.
Match #4: R-Truth vs Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler pins Truth. After the match The Great Khali chases Ziggler around.
Edge complains to Teddy Long. Then Jericho comes in and gripes as well. Jericho wants a rematch against Rey Mysterio. Long tells him that Rey already ask for one and it will be No Holds Barred.
Match #5: Winner chooses the stipulation at Extreme Rules: Jeff Hardy vs Edge. Hardy pins Edge. After the match, Hardy announces the match at Extreme Rules will be a Ladder Match.
