Story 2: Yanagi Onna
Momosuke goes to investigate an Inn that has a story of a willow tree that will murder any woman interested in the man named Kichibe. Upon his arrival he finds out that the trio has already beat him there and that they are undercover trying to solve the willow tree mystery. Later that night it is revealed that it was Kichibe all along killing his wives, not the tree. Mataichi and Ogin kill Kichibe, via the willow tree, because murder is never tolerated with the trio. Momosuke gets warned once again to stay out of their business.
