Matthew is telling off Sooty, Sweep and Soo for leaving the front door opened all night, but then they discover it was Matthew because he was the last one out because he was putting out the milk bottles. Sooty invents a box called the 'Burglar Box' to prevent things being stolen. Matthew tries to outwit the box, but the Burglar Box outwits Matthew!, and finally says he is going to smash the Burglar Box into a thousand pieces. Matthew isnt very happy so Soo has a plan so that they can get a bit of peace. They send Matthew on a wild goose chase, and when Matthew gets home he isn't happy that the 'Burglar Box' is back at home.
