At the beginning of the episode Matthew is sleeping in a sleeping bag on the living room floor. Connie comes in and wakes him up and then tips a bag of rubbish over him. Matthew tells us he is having his bedroom 'done up'. Matthew is so exicited to see his new bedroom but Connie says he can't until they have cleared up. When, Matthew finally does see his bedroom he is very pleased and tells Connie, Sooty, Sweep and Soo to leave him alone to explore his bedroom. Later on, Sooty, Sweep and Soo are upset because Matthew won't come down to be part of the family, he does come and gives them a Thank-you party for decorating his bedroom.
