Sid takes the family to a restaurant to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the day Sid & Jean first met. Mike asks Sid how did you two meet? and Sid explains......
After Sid was demobbed from the army, he was out celebrating & while in an inebriated state caught a train home. He shared a carriage with a Lt.Commander from the Navy & an Air Force group captain. Sid gets off the train at the wrong station when the other 2 chaps want to be rid of him & assure him this is his stop. The railway Porter tells him the next train is not due til morning. Sid meets Jean in the waiting room & it looks like they'll spend the night there til the porter suggests the guest house up the road has a vacancy. The guest house has only one room & Sid tells the manager they are newly weds. Jean won't share the bed with Sid & he has to sleep on the chair. He asks Doris the manageress if he could have an extra blanket & after discussing it with her husband,lets them have their bed instead.
