Molly and her brother, Billy, are eccentric and causing trouble at school – this is noticed by Jess, who is hired to make repairs to the school building. It turns out Molly and Billy have been abandoned. Jess sets out to find their father, an alcoholic, and reunite the family to prevent Molly and Billy being taken into care.
