The Prime Minister now expects military assistance from the EU to get them out, but the EU is reluctant to enter a military conflict with Russia.HM is terminated from PST after a conflict with Wenche. He receives an offer from the Russians that he declines, but Jesper Berg emerges unexpectedly and requests that HM accepts to work for the Russians after all. The Prime Minister and the Intelligence Service need his eyes and ears behind the closed doors of the Russian headquarters.Thomas suspects that Bente is having an affair with Nikolaj. That evening he gets into an irreconcilable argument with Bente, right before he leaves for work in Finnmark. Once there, Thomas befriends a Sami man who eventually helps him cross the Russian border illegally – which has fatal consequences.
