DI Mill’s investigation into the 'We Want What You Have' postcards takes him further into the lives of the Pepys Road community but he’s no closer to finding the perpetrator as the campaign continues. Mrs. Kamal arrives on the street determined to get to the bottom of the strange postcards, but her visit is interrupted by the appearance of more pressing troubles for the Kamal family. Shahid meanwhile must deal with the repercussions of Iqbal’s visit. When Mashinko discovers what has happened to Quentina he’s baffled and heartbroken by her change of circumstances. Quentina’s hardship is intensified as she is forced to justify herself and her way of life in the capital. Elsewhere Mary calls upon Bogdan to start renovations on Petunia’s house. Whilst there he unearths a secret left behind by one of its occupants. For Roger an incident with a colleague at work has disastrous consequences for the life he and Arabella have built.
