A magical unicorn called "The Great and Powerful" Trixie arrives in Ponyville, claiming to be the greatest pony in Equestria. Spike believes Twilight may be the one unicorn to put the arrogant braggart in her place, but she worries that she will lose the respect of her friends. Is Trixie really the great being she constantly claims to be, or she is really a selfish unicorn pony who only wants all the praise? Then, things get worse when a monster awaken from his sleep starts terrorizing the palace.
