Carmen's foppish tendency to buy things needlessly, often useless junk, breaks the Waterslaghers family finances and drives whipped husband Xavier to uncharacteristic measures. Beacuse Marc's rich ma keeps showering baby Pauline with gifts, Bieke's less affluent ma feels she must follow to prove equal love.
